Thanks Els!!
Smooch! Ok seroiously. The girl is too swet. yes, Miss Elsie you are so darn sweet. And what a fun time we had. After sitting in the border line for 1 1/2 hrs we finally arrived just in time to grab Elsie, Tia and Shannon and head for Thai food for lunch- YUM. I LOVE thai food. yummmmmmmmmmy. Back to Treasury of Memories for a few hours of class heckling. Tia took the next class as did the sweet Sara W while we browsed the store and heckled at the back of the class. Yes, we were a bit too giggly. But it was fun. After a nice little rest in Kah-Mei's van we took Elsie's last class of the day.
Ok people. The girl rocks. I am a teacher by trade (grade 1/2) and I loved how Elsie put a spin on teaching for me. She is subtle. But we learned so much. It took me out of my comfort zone. I am clean lined scrapper by nature. Thank you Elsie. I had a blast. I used a million and one buttons and I loved every minute of it. And nothing can beat being sandwiched inbetween two good buddies laughing and scrapping. And Els, don't worry girl, I'll get you all hooked up digital wise. I told her I'd tell all of you that she is singlehandedly luring me back to the paper world and that I was going to lure her over to the digital world. To which we were sure there would be cries od Kate!!!!!!!!!!! you can't lure Elsie over to the digital world! Hee hee. yes, we were being silly. But truthfully, I love that in scrapping now the two worlds seem to be merging so much. I love seeing scrappers do well in both arenas and enjoying the benefits of both. Scrapping just rocks. period.
After dinner, we talked and laughed some more and then cropped. I haven't been to a crop in eons. I had no supplies with me except for a trimmer, some double sided tape and my ever trusty Slick Writer. have I mentioned I am beginning to embrace this writing. I used to write on all of my pages back when I first began scrapping. It is fun. It's a change from the computer fonts. It's all good. Finally, Tia (the challenge queen) challenged Kah-Mei, Elsie and I to make little booklets. We would then put them all into a box at the end and pull one out. The one we pulled out we would get to keep. They were so cute! I was lucky enough to get Kah-Mei's little gem. And look at Miss Elsie sewing a little bag for hers. Have I mentioned how crafty she is too? I've lately been exploring the world of craft blogs and they are hot people. So cool. I'll have to do a whole post on them soon. So many fabulours craft/kitting blogs out there. Who knew?
Thanks so much to Elizabeth and the staff of Treasury of Memories for having us, putting up with us and just being fantastic! I was very excited to see that over half of the papers were sold out by the end of the evening. How fun is that? And I snapped this picture of Pamela and Andrea (twins!) who had just created pages at the crop with my papers. The first pages I have seen done by other people so far. Thanks girls!!
Lastly, TOM is having a benefit crop If you are in the area, this is going to be one amazing crop for one amazing little guy. I met Mighty Max's mother at the store last night and what a kind and sweet girl. I wish them nothing but the best for their long road ahead. If you can't make it to the crop, you can also get Mighty Max shirts at the store or I'm sure donations are welcome. The crop is on March 31st and it is a 20 hour crop. yes a 20 hour crop!! How fun that would be! It's a wonderful cause for a sweet little guy.
Toodles! Off to enjoy the sunny weather here and my last day off of Spring Break!
